The Manor hotel has limited rooms, so early confirmation is recommended and will be allocated in order of booking and payment received. Once The Manor rooms are filled, similar quality country hotels within easy walking distance will be offered as an alternative.

Inspired by the atmosphere of a classic Cotswolds country-manor evening, but reimagined as a high-stakes strategic challenge, Crisis in the Cotswolds is an exclusive MD2MD experience, delivered in partnership with Weightmans, Freeman Clarke and The CFO Centre. This luxurious, immersive evening is designed to test teamwork, decision-making and leadership resilience.

As you enjoy a three-course dinner, the story unfolds. A successful business has been plunged into a sudden crisis. Markets are shifting, stakeholders are panicking, key clients are wavering, and crucial information is revealed course by course.

Each table a boardroom, each guest a decision maker

Throughout the dinner, you’ll navigate escalating pressures, disruptive news flashes, expert interventions and time-critical decisions. It’s a true test of calm under pressure, collaboration and strategic nerve.

With expert input from our partners, Weightmans, Freeman Clarke and The CFO Centre, each table will shape and refine its turnaround plan as the evening unfolds.

At the end of the night, every table will present its plan, with the team demonstrating the strongest strategic thinking and leadership cohesion crowned the winner of the prestigious Crisis in the Cotswolds Award.

Celebrations will then continue at the indoor and outdoor bars.

Participants are assigned to tables in advance and informed of their fellow “board members”. Our expert partners will also be available throughout the evening to provide advisory support.

Tuesday morning: Collaborative workshop

This workshop will be presented by Simon Kirby and Roz Hobley of Wakeman & Wright Group. You’ll explore team strengths and blind spots, learn why some relationships are challenging, and gain practical strategies to build trust, improve communication, and boost team performance.

Simon and Roz are experts in relational intelligence, with experience helping leaders and teams in organisations including Google, GSK, Angelini Pharma, Greencore, HM Treasury, and Habitat for Humanity. This session gives practical tools and frameworks to elevate your leadership impact and get the best from your team.
