Despite the rise of meaning, purpose and value on the employee and business agendas, and emergence and establishment of purpose-driven cultures centred on sustainability, collaboration and community, many people in the world still remain unfulfilled, disengaged from their work and disconnected from their personal or business purpose.

When I say many people, would it surprise you that it’s a staggering 77% of the global workforce who are either actively disengaged or not engaged at work? That’s what Gallup shared in their State of the Workplace Report 2024 alongside reporting a decline in mental health with increasing levels of stress for employees with 58% struggling and 8% suffering in work and life.

This level of low employee engagement is exacting a high cost on business, leading to reduced productivity which Gallup estimates as costing the global economy US$8.9 trillion, that’s 9% of the global GDP.

Gallup’s solution to this problem: ‘Change the way your people are managed.

Is that the only solution available to ensure employees are engaged and fulfilled? I believe that there is a more sustainable approach to this global existential crisis and in this workshop together we will explore how and why.
