Business Updates and Optimism Outlook
What is going well for you in your business right now? What would be even better if…? It is a great way to understand your fellow leaders, find out common themes and set the basis for the afternoon challenge board. We also ask you to score your business optimism from -5 to +5 over the next 6 months, with a view to plotting the industry trends and be aware in advance of challenges and opportunities.
Speaker Workshop led by Graham Norris
Beyond the Horizon: Future-Proof Innovation
Over 80% of executives say that innovation is a priority, yet less than 10% believe their organisations are innovating enough. Often the problem is that companies are trapped in a cycle of trying to satiate current market demands, where competition is already fierce and innovation is restricted to incremental improvements. The open spaces of competitive advantage can only be found further into the future.
Yet the more distant future can seem uncertain and risky, making it more challenging to analyse. We need to rely less on data and more on imagination to understand how trends impacting British businesses – such as sustainability, customisation and competitive pressure – will evolve over time.
This workshop will leverage the techniques that professional futurists use to identify the trends and drivers of change in manufacturing, generate alternative visions of the future and help you define what your value proposition is going to be.
Further detailsPeer Challenge Board
With the guidance of a dedicated facilitator, this session is designed to enable the sharing of issues you are wrestling with at that point in time. The essence of the community is centered around the ‘challenge board method’, a unique, yet simple set of steps to unpack a challenge being faced. By the nature of the conversations, the peer groups are confidential where the attendees can really get into the nitty gritty of a challenge.
