Peter Eglinton

Managing Director of the Municipal Division of the leading international waste to product business Shanks plc. Responsibility for the UK and Canada which has revenues of £165m, 850 staff and a current capital spend of over £300m.

Having developed his career in the very practial distribution industry with Exel, Salvesen and Norbert Dentressangle, Peter was appointed Managing Director, UKI & Norway for information management company Iron Mountain in 2009 before joining Shanks plc in 2013.

Peter has significant experience of leading businesses through change focussing on effective engagement with staff and customers. He is also involved in a number of industry associations and in mentoring leaders in various businesses, the NHS and large charities.

He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Distinction (2002) from Nottingham University.
