As a corporate banking director Derek negotiated many complex transactions including the financing of a £3bn takeover. Now a fellow of the Professional Speakers Association (and President in 2012), in more recent times he has been described as one of the world’s leading speakers, advisers and coaches on the art and science of negotiating, with David Jones, the Chairman of Next plc, pointing out that Derek has studied the art and science of negotiation at the highest level.

Derek’s clients benefit from the unique blend of experience that comes from being both a hands-on practitioner and leading-edge teacher. He has worked in 27 countries, with 5 business schools AND has been a visiting lecturer at the Henley Management College for 12 years. Derek helped Oxfam negotiate a saving of £201,950 on their banking charges.
