David Thompson

David Thompson helps people communicate more clearly, perform more effectively and make the most of the opportunities in their work. Drawing upon more than 20 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications and business management, David helps his clients harness their personal and professional resources for outstanding authentic performance.

David currently works with senior executives from a wide range of companies including Whirlpool, Biogen Idec, Kingfisher, Kering (formerly PPR), Bottega Veneta and Yves Saint Laurent.

David began his career with Ketchum in Washington D.C. in 1993, and he joined the company’s office in Munich in 1995. At Ketchum’s European Headquarters in London, David was a Director of the Corporate Practice Group.

In addition to his experience in corporate communications, David has worked as an actor, director and producer for stage – with a particular focus on the plays of Shakespeare. David incorporates his learning and experience from the world of theatre to help clients embrace the many parts they play in their work.

David formed Total Awareness Coaching in 2004 to provide coaching and training services for leaders in business and not-for-profit organisations. David holds a BA in English Literature from Davidson College in Davidson, NC and an MA in Shakespearean Theatre from the University of Essex.
