Phil Jesson started his career as a 20 year-old Army officer where he soon learned “what leadership was really about”. His move to sales and marketing was “secondnature as the same four strategies applied – offence, defence, alliance and deterrence.” He ran Rentokil’s sales and service operations in London and launched a new UK publishing company for the German media giant, Bertelsmann.
He then moved into consultancy with Mercuri International, before setting up his own business. Phil has worked at home and abroad with Pirelli, Grant Thornton, Bass Brewers, Fedex, Honeywell, Interflora and EDF Energy, but is equally at home with SMEs.
In 2009 his “Piranhas in the Bidet” business book was published and remained one of Amazon’s best sellers for many months, Phil lives in Leicestershire with his wife, Joanna. In his spare time he plays the drums and watches Aston Villa on Saturdays …. “before then seeking counselling on Mondays!”
