Executive Coaching & Leadership Training

At MD2MD we bring business leaders together to learn from each other through our executive coaching and management training programme.

Executive Coaching & Leadership Training in the Cotswolds

What is MD2MD?

Our philosophy is that business leaders and managing directors have a wealth of experience and insight to offer, if they have the right forum in which to share it.

That’s exactly what you can expect from our MD2MD meetings: the chance to meet your fellow leaders, share what you’ve learned in your career, and listen to the wisdom of your peers.

We facilitate this collaborative business coaching process through discussion of real-life case studies and workshops led by expert professional speakers.

If you are from Stroud, Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester, Tewkesbury, or nearby Oxford – why not come along to one of our Cotswold MD2MD group meetings and find out what we do for yourself?

Our meetings

We take a full day for each MD2MD meeting, as this provides the necessary space for meaningful, in-depth discussion and debate amongst those present. The meeting follows a two-part format:

  • Peer challenge discussion board: In the first part of the meeting, members gather to discuss a real-life case study. Under conditions of strict confidentiality, participants are encouraged to bring their own expertise in business and leadership to the table, as well as learning from the experiences of others.
  • Expert-led workshop: During the second part of the meeting, we invite a world-class professional speaker to lead us in a practical workshop. Typically, we focus on one key area of business management per session – including leadership styles, recruitment, operations, and more.

Who can join MD2MD?

MD2MD was established as a leadership training opportunity for business leaders across different industries and sectors, as well as for those leading not-for-profit organisations.

If you are a CEO, startup owner, founder, or managing director, with experience of leading hundreds to thousands of employees, you could benefit from the peer support that MD2MD offers.

We welcome business leaders who are willing to share their expertise, learn from the experience of other members, and listen to different viewpoints.

About business in the Cotswolds

Famed for its beautiful landscape of rolling hills and green fields, the Cotswolds boasts a thriving tourist industry. Visitors flock to the region to enjoy the footpaths, historical sites, and charming stone-built villages. Opportunities for restaurant and café owners, hoteliers, and tour operators are numerous.

However, the Cotswolds’ location, lying across the boundaries of several counties, makes it well-placed as a hub for industry and technological innovation. Sectors represented in the region include aerospace engineering, electronics, medical science, and cyber security.

In addition, the rural character of the Cotswold area lends itself to agriculture, and about 86% of the land in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is used for this purpose. Sheep-farming is important in the livestock sector, while crops such as wheat, barley, and oilseed rape dominate arable agriculture.
