This year, as well as celebrating lots of success stories, we hope that International Women’s Day will provide members with the opportunity to join the challenge to create more opportunities for everyone to achieve their potential, whatever their background. Encouragingly, between 2019 and 2020 there was a 29% global increase in the number of women in senior leadership roles, however there is still a huge way to go, with only 21% of board positions held by women.
To show our support for #IWD2021 MD2MD plans to sponsor two places on an internationally led Developing Women Leaders programme. The programme focuses on developing self-awareness, leadership presence, and building relationships for impact. This course is ideal for women who are interested in self-development, career advancement and personal fulfilment. It provides an opportunity to really evaluate themselves in a safe environment, and to benefit from feedback from their peers.
On completion of the programme candidates will receive a certificate a world leading triple crowned business school – The Graduate School of Business. The programme is 100% online, is highly flexible and involves lots of interactive engagement and collaboration.

Our only caveat is that we’d love to know how the selected candidates get on and how the programme helps. We will make a selection from your nominations on 19th March and the programme will start in early April. Hopefully we will be deluged with your nominations!
