Women in leadership – session 2 for group 3Online | Tue. 17th January 2023 | 9:00am-10:30am
Special interest group
This is a confidential peer board dedicated to challenges women in leadership face. The objective for the meetings is for women to venerate other women and although some of the challenges that we face may also be faced by other genders, the fact that the McKinsey Report shows that men are promoted or hired based on their potential and yet women are promoted or hired based on their track record and that they are statistically given less management support or access to senior leadership, means that women are facing challenges which can be specific to their gender.
Suggested challenges could be:
- Unconscious Bias
- Unequal Pay
- Limited Career Advancement Opportunities
- Lack of Mentors
- Own self limiting assumptions
- Impostor Syndrome
- Micro aggression and discrimination
