Why entrepreneurs and job descriptions are a problem
You’ve built a successful business. It’s growing nicely. But you found that all day people were pestering you to make decisions and you felt you had to organise everything. You realised you needed some structure and reluctantly invested in a few managers. But the problem hasn’t gone away. Indeed things seem to have got more complicated. You now have a lack of ownership and turf battles (not my job and it’s their fault). What can you do about it?
There are no simple answers, and every business and business leader is different. But there are some patterns and some thoughts, tips and tools that can help. So says Bob Bradley on the basis of his quarter century as a business leader. He says “My own experience was a good chance to learn from my mistakes and having had an inside track into the thinking of literally hundreds of other operational business leaders I think I’ve spotted a few patterns and so have a few pointers I can usefully share.”
Meeting delivered by Bob Bradley
Bob is a specialist in running high value added service businesses, having run five such businesses as General Manager, Managing Director or Chief Executive. He is now following a portfolio career providing entrepreneurial business leaders with mentoring and coaching around business leadership, business growth, merger integration and exit planning.
