Where does the Home Counties and Thames Valley group meet
The group sometimes meets in the beautiful Chiltern Hills area of outstanding natural beauty in Amersham, Chesham sometimes in the busy towns of Aylesbury, Guildford, High Wycombe and Slough and sometimes in the equally beautiful Thames Valley in and around Maidenhead and Windsor.
Who qualifies to join the Home Counties and Thames Valley group?
The Home Counties Business Leaders Group is designed specifically for Managing Directors and other similar business leaders. Members come from the Home Counties to the North and West of London including Surrey, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, as well as the West of London itself. This entrepreneurial area includes a wide variety of towns and a wide range of business sectors, including:
- The Distribution centres along the M1 of from Hemel Hempstead and Luton to Milton Keynes and around Heathrow near Slough
- The Head Offices around London and especially in the Thames Valley from Guildford to Reading and Slough
- The hub of the related global pharmaceutical and medical devices industry around Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Amersham and Chesham
- The market towns of Henley, Berkhampsted, St Albans and Dunstable
- The North and West London towns and districts of Edgeware, Wembley, Watford, Hayes, Harrow, Egham and Uxbridge
All blended with a large number of London commuters, some of who are also members of our group as they commute from the area to Central London.

Subject of course to ensuring there are no conflicts of interest with existing members as it is essential part of our process that members should be able to speak openly about their challenges at our meetings.

What happens in a Home Counties and Thames Valley business leaders’ group meeting?
Most meetings at our Home Counties and Thames Valley business leaders’ group start at 8am and after briefly comparing experiences of the current trading environment members spend the morning learning with and from each other through an interactive workshop led by a top professional speaker. After lunch and a catch up and feedback session, the group works together in confidential session as a peer challenge board for the remainder of the afternoon, departing by 4:30 to avoid the traffic.
